i’ve had a book called Fashion Market on my bookshelf for a couple of years now…it contains interviews with 16 London artists / designers from the fashion market. Although the whole book is really inspiring the real reason i totally had to own a copy was due to the interview with designer maker Amy Anderson creator of the brand comfort station. Amy’s shop is featured on the cover below and is an eclectic mix of styles with a range of really beautiful products – accessories, belts, cuffs and jewelery. What i’m drawn to is the amazing interiors of the shop and the brand in general…stunning…

over the weekend i had a little trip to Manchester for a friends birthday and got a little over excited by the interior and branding of bluu bar and brasserie.
one wall of the bar is covered in this amazing knit effect wallpaper i LOVE it! such a fab take on retro pattern and such pretty pretty colours…

check out these great graphics in the menu too…

i checked out the bluu website which was designed by the talented Studio Output…their site studio-output.com has some really inspiring projects and lots of massive clients…worth a peek…
i’m fast becoming a fan of knack studios after seeing a recent post by poppytalk, since visiting their site kackstudios.com i can’t get enough of the beautiful muted colour palettes and pretty details…

I came across these BEAUTIFUL photos whilst browsing on flicker for typewriters, i totally adore them…they would make great prints. the little typewriter box is sooo cute.

pretty little collection of photos that have made me smile today…
somedays would be perfect if you had a beautiful big lampshade to hide under…

i have a slight fascination lately with photographs of old cameras, i stumbled across these below at Day Dream Lily. the photographer Cassie Beck has a beautiful little etsy shop Lola’s room.

i get a little over excited about letterpress, especially when it involves some type. here are a few designs that caught my eye recently and made me CRAVE a proper old school letterpress machine…one day!
below are some super pretty wedding invitations designed by Erin Jang and printed by studio on fire. devine

i also adore these business card designs from studio on fire that seem to be popping up everywhere. the print process of getting these just right is really interesting too…check it out on the studio on fire site…

i keep noticing the growing theme of chalkboard walls and think it is such an inventive way of gaining a little character and personality in a room. i’m very tempted to follow this trend…i wonder how many coats of white it would take if you changed your mind t?! here are a few of my favourites…
i’ve had this image in a folder on my desktop for a while now and finally managed to track down where i found it…apartment therapy. Close Up! Tracey Falk’s Key Hook. I love this personalized style it appears so effortless but judging by the rest of Tracey’s beautiful apartment that was covered in a post by the guys at apartment therapy everything in this amazing apartment is totally thought out and each little detail implicitly considered.

on the top of my wish list is an orange smeg fridge, however i think for the time being i’d be happy to settle for this awesome idea of painting a regular fridge with some chalkboard paint…inspired. the rest of this apartment really caught my eye too. i have a small or rather large obsession with red brick walls…discovered at design sponge the following pics are taken from the home of Amanda Orcutt of the beautiful online shop Amandromeda…i adore the industrial piping on the ceilings and mismatched modern/vintage style.

i like the idea of having an entire wall in your office or studio space totally painted in chalkboard paint, it would save all the hassle of post-it notes and be much more personal…i’d probably end up doodling way too much though and forgetting to actually write stuff down! oh well nice idea…
the wallpaper on the left hand wall is pretty nice too…

as promised i tried few little doodles of my own earlier…some friendly little Chinchillas. A couple of weeks ago my boyfriend and i toyed with the idea of buying two Chinchillas to join us in our flat…when i say toyed i mean he wanted them , me…not so much! anyway they are kinda cute to draw, check out their little white gloves. if we had of got them we were going to call them Cheese and Pickle so i thought it only right to name these little guys that too.

you may have noticed in my earlier post this gorgeous little card clipped above my desk. its from a company call Darling Clementine and they do the most beautiful illustrations for greetings card, notebooks, print etc. I have fallen in love with their Paris collection but check out all their other quirky collections too at www.darlingclemintine.no

i resisted buying one of these fab notebooks from Darling Clementine whilst window shopping in Selfridges last week, think i’m going to have to make a trip back, the little badger is just to cute to resist…

tomorrow my mission is to draw some characters of my own…
As a textile graduate i love all things tactile, i could literally spend hours putting together little pieces of pattern, scraps of papers and fabrics to create interesting collages. here are a few of my older pieces… i also have a darkroom so you will see lots of photographic pieces popping up in my work too. experimenting with photography- especially photograms can become really addictive- you never quite know how its going to turn out…my pieces lend themselves to becoming framed one off artworks, greetings cards, postcards, notebooks, and other bits of niceness.
i will be adding to this category with more recent pieces soon…
